Personal trainer comparing gym management software with a tool for online clients
Venue management software compared with software for independent professionals.
ALTERNATIVE
Trainingym (often searched as Trainingym Manager) is management software for gyms and fitness businesses: bookings, membership billing, access control and a member app. If you run a gym or studio, it is the right category. FitConnect is the Trainingym alternative for independent personal trainers and nutritionists managing their own clients online: training and diet plans, check-ins, chat and a marketplace. As of October 2026 Trainingym lists studio plans from EUR 119 a month excluding VAT and quotes gyms on request; FitConnect runs from Free to EUR 49.99 a month.

Trainingym alternative: what each tool is

Trainingym describes its product as comprehensive management software for gyms and fitness businesses, with payments, access control, bookings, a custom app, member retention and nutrition modules. FitConnect is a different category: a platform for a trainer or dietitian to manage their own clients online. They are not direct substitutes, and the choice starts with whether you run a venue.

Trainingym Manager pricing in 2026

On its studio pricing page (October 2026), Trainingym lists two plans, excluding VAT and billed monthly on annual payment: Basic at EUR 119 a month and Pro with a custom app at EUR 189 a month, both for up to 100 members, with EUR 20 or 50 more per extra 100. Onboarding is a one-off EUR 99, 265 or 580 and hardware is billed separately. For gyms and chains no price is shown; you request a quote. Prices are in euros and not converted here.

FitConnect pricing for comparison

FitConnect is flat per plan: Free (1 client), Starter EUR 14.99 a month (15 clients), Pro EUR 29.99 (50 clients, AI included) and Unlimited EUR 49.99 (no cap). Annual billing is ten months for twelve. Client payments through the platform carry a 10% commission plus 21% Spanish IVA on that commission; they are EUR-only and available only to professionals in Spain or another EU country with a VIES-validated VAT number. US and UK professionals cannot take client payments through FitConnect today and should keep their current payment tool.

Where Trainingym is stronger

  • Full venue management: bookings, capacity, waitlist and multi-room schedules.
  • Access control with turnstiles and readers, plus automatic collection of fees and passes.
  • A member app, with a custom branded app option.
  • Guided onboarding and support designed for businesses with staff.

Where FitConnect fits better

  • You work solo or with a handful of online clients and run no venue.
  • You want training and diet plans for the same client in one place.
  • A marketplace lets new clients find and hire you.
  • AI drafts a plan and you review it before the client sees it.
  • A client can work with several professionals, each with their own plan.

Who should choose which

If you own a gym, studio or centre, choose Trainingym or similar management software. If you are an independent trainer or nutritionist, including a trainer who serves their own online clients while working inside a gym, FitConnect fits. You can use both: the venue manages its members and you manage your own clients.

How to move from Trainingym to FitConnect

  1. Confirm you are an independent professional, not a venue; if you need access control or bookings, stay with Trainingym.
  2. Copy what is yours to keep: training templates and your own clients' details.
  3. Create a FitConnect account and rebuild your two or three most used templates.
  4. Start with one or two clients on the Free plan and check the plan, check-in and chat flow.
  5. Upgrade to the plan that fits your roster. If you take payments through FitConnect, factor in the 10% commission plus 21% IVA on it; if you are in the US or UK, keep your current payment tool.

Trainingym reviews: what to test

Book Trainingym's free demo and test your real case: bookings, billing and access if you have a venue. If you are independent, run one client through FitConnect for two weeks and time how long a workout, a diet and a check-in review take.

Frequently asked questions

What is Trainingym Manager?

It is how many people search for Trainingym's management software, built for gyms and fitness businesses: members, bookings, billing, access and an app. Its website does not show a product with that exact name, so ask them which modules your plan includes.

How much does Trainingym cost?

As of October 2026, its studio pricing page shows Basic at EUR 119 a month and Pro with a custom app at EUR 189 a month, excluding VAT, billed annually, for up to 100 members (plus EUR 20 or 50 per extra 100), with hardware and onboarding extra. For gyms and chains it publishes no price; you request a quote.

I'm a gym member: how do I log in to the Trainingym app?

Download the app your gym points you to and sign in with the details the gym gave you. If you do not have them or they fail, ask reception. FitConnect is a separate service and does not manage those logins.

Trainingym admin: where do staff log in?

Admin access is issued by the venue or by Trainingym to the customer. Ask your manager or Trainingym support for credentials.

Is Trainingym suitable for a solo personal trainer?

Its site also mentions personal training studios, and its plans are built around venues with members. If you work alone and online without a venue, check whether you need bookings, billing and access before paying for a venue plan.

Can FitConnect replace gym software?

No. FitConnect has no access control, capacity-based class management or membership billing for a facility. It is built for professionals managing their own clients online.

How much is FitConnect?

Free covers 1 client; Starter is EUR 14.99 a month (15 clients), Pro EUR 29.99 (50 clients, AI included), Unlimited EUR 49.99 with no cap. Annual is ten months for twelve. Client payments through the platform carry a 10% commission plus 21% Spanish IVA on it; they are EUR-only and not available to US or UK professionals today.
